The group is located in the Department of Physics at City University of Hong Kong. Our research is mainly focused on:

​

(1) Fundamental investigation of phase transformative materials for energy application;

(2) Phase transition behavior; 

(3) Fundamental studies of safety of batteries;

(4) Development of Multimodal advanced neutron and synchrotron techniques.

​

Our research ultimate goal is to maximize the efficiency of energy conversion and storage in devices (i.e. batteries, fuel cells, supercapacitor, etc.) while minimizing the impacts on the environment.
